The Islamic Studies Department places strong emphasis on nurturing a deep spiritual connection in students, ensuring that learning goes beyond theory and is meaningfully reflected in their daily lives.

Spiritual Connection & Practices

The following practices are implemented at AMES to strengthen students’ connection with their Creator and His beloved Messenger ﷺ:

Daily Morning Spiritual Routine

Students begin their day with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, Kalimah Tayyibah, selected Ahadith, and Masnoon Duas, creating a spiritually uplifting and focused start to the day.

Regular Practice of Duas

Students are trained to recite and apply daily Duas for eating, sleeping, waking up, ascending and descending, and other routine activities—enabling them to remember Allah in every aspect of their lives.

Salah Awareness and Practice

Continuous encouragement and practical guidance are provided to develop punctuality, discipline, and sincerity in offering Salah, along with demonstrations to ensure correct performance.

Continuous Practical Monitoring

Teachers regularly observe students’ behavior and practices within the school environment to ensure that Islamic teachings are consistently applied.

Home–School Spiritual Link

Regular parental feedback and involvement help reinforce Islamic practices at home, creating a consistent and supportive spiritual environment for the child.

Implementation of Islamic Manners (Akhlaq)

Greeting with Salam
Sunnah methods of drinking water, eating food, and entering the house
Showing respect to elders and kindness to peers
Maintaining cleanliness and positive behavior

Friday Tarbiya Session (Assembly/Salah)

A dedicated weekly session that includes:

Understanding the importance of Jumu’ah
Awareness of Islamic months and significant days
Clear guidance on Halal and Haram
Motivation towards good deeds and avoiding wrong actions
